Essential Morning Cleansing Rituals
01. Jihva Nirlekhana (Tongue Scraping): Use a copper tongue scraper to remove overnight toxic residue (Ama).
02. Ushapan (Copper Water): Drink 1–2 glasses of room temperature water stored overnight in a copper vessel to stimulate bowel movement.
03. Gandusha (Oil Pulling): Swish 1 tbsp organic sesame or coconut oil for 5–10 mins to strengthen gums and extract oral toxins.
04. Abhyanga (Self-Massage): Warm sesame oil massage before bathing to calm Vata nervous energy and hydrate skin.
Protecting Your Agni (Digestive Fire)
In Ayurveda, all health begins with strong Agni. Undigested food turns into Ama (toxins).
Golden Rules of Ayurvedic Eating:
1. Eat main meal when sun is highest (12-2 PM).
2. Avoid ice water; drink warm or room temperature liquids.
3. Allow 4-5 hours between meals for complete digestion.
4. Eat in a calm, seated environment without screens.
My Personal Agni Assessment (Bloating, Heaviness, Energy post-meals):
Ritucharya — Seasonal Adaptation Guide
Winter / Early Spring (Vata-Kapha): Warm, cooked, spiced foods (ginger, cinnamon), warm sesame oil massage, invigorating pranayama.
Summer (Pitta): Cooling foods (sweet fruits, coconut water, mint, ghee), moonlit walks, sweet floral aromas like sandalwood.
Autumn / Monsoon (Vata): Grounding root vegetables, warm soups, golden turmeric milk, restorative yoga, strict daily routine.
Healing Ayurvedic Tea Formulas
CCF Tea (Cumin, Coriander, Fennel): Mix equal parts 1/2 tsp each in 3 cups boiling water. Simmer 5 mins. Clears bloating & boosts Agni.
Golden Turmeric Milk: 1 cup warm plant milk, 1/2 tsp turmeric, pinch black pepper, ghee, cardamom. Drink before bed for muscle recovery.
